Research Interests
My recent research has focused on the sociological dimensions of translation to examine how translation functions within complex cultural, media, and social networks. My current projects investigate the representation of Turkish identity in Anglophone and Francophone contexts, highlighting the dynamics of cultural exchange, identity politics, and systemic influences on translation flows. Building on this foundation, I am starting to explore more extensively the role of translation in shaping Türkiye’s socio-cultural transformation and global positioning through literary, audiovisual, and news-translation case studies, providing fresh insights into translation’s societal impact.
